How to CHoose a Guitar Size
Especially for beginners, it is a big challenge to choose the right guitar size. With this short guide, you can find the right size and option for your first guitar.
Having the right guitar size is important for two reasons: First of all, having a size that fits you makes it more comfortable to play and you will avoid health issues. Another point is, if the guitar is easy to play, you will have more fun while playing it and it is more probable that you will stick to your new hobby.

Choose the right size
It is common to choose the size depending on the age and the height of the player. The details are approximate values and serve as orientation only.
- 1/4 Size
Kids
Height: up to 1,10m
Age: appx. 4-7 years
Scale: +/- 44 cm
- 1/2 Size
Kids
Height: 1,10m to 1,35m
Age: appx. 6-9 years
Scale: 53 cm - 56 cm
- 3/4 Size
Students
Height: 1,20m to 1,50m
Age: appx. 8-11 years
Scale: 58 cm
- 7/8 Size
Teenagers
Height: 1,30m to 1,65m
Age: appx.10-14 years
Scale: +/- 62 cm

NUT WIDTH
The full size guitars have another option you can choose from. Besides the standard neck (52mm | 2.05") you can also choose a guitar with a slim neck (48mm | 1.89"), which is designed for smaller hands and is even more comfortable to play.
