Biography
Since the age of 14, Ken Taylor has worked in the studio and on stage for artists such as John Mayall, Jelly Bread, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker, Christine McVie, and many more. After making a name for himself in the 1970s through various studio productions in London, Taylor came to Germany to work with producers such as Giorgio Moroder and Frank Farian. Ken played on tours of Keb' Mo', Noa and Sonny Landreth, and Wolfgang Niedecken, among others. In studio productions, he also assisted musicians such as Brian May, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Palmer, Alphaville, Udo Lindenberg, and the Scorpions with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1993 he has been a permanent member of the Peter Maffay Band for all live and studio productions.
