About Yhael
Yhael May (Pamplona, Spain, 1990) is a Spanish artist whose career blends classical excellence, emotional depth, and international recognition. A guitarist, singer, composer, and educator, she began her musical journey at the age of five, guided by her father, Jesús Martínez Torres—an award-winning composer and classical guitarist. Her artistic lineage includes a grandfather who was a saxophonist and a great-uncle who was a playwright and lyricist in the zarzuela tradition.
In 2024 and 2025, Yhael launched her Sunflower Tour across the United States, performing in venues such as the Doral Cultural Arts Center, Savage Labs, Hotel Indigo Brickell, and the prestigious NAMM Show. Her performances, which combine classical guitar and voice, were praised for their authenticity and emotional power.
